python-ecasound software package provides multitrack-capable audio recorder and effect processor (python bindings), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-ecasound
python-ecasound is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-ecasound package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-ecasound *
You will get with python-ecasound package name, version, architecture and description in a table
